You'd probably expect me to say something greasy like mac and cheese cause that's just the standard comfort food but I actually hate mac and cheese. It's just gross to me and I don't eat it at all. Also that orange from the box just looks unnatural and how do you even make it look that way?
I guess what I love the most is bread. Just any kind, prepped any way is what I love eating especially if it's warm and fresh from the oven- so good. But now I've recently developed a wheat allergy- the universes sense of humour I presume, I can't eat any bread and bread like meals. Great.
The other comfort food I love is potatoes, or more specifically fries. There's just something about the combination of the salt and the thinly fried potatoes that just speaks to my soul. I crave fries at random times and when I do it's insane. I've eaten fries for three days straight before my mum decided it was time for an intervention.
Lastly, this is such a cliche but true; ice cream. It's like consuming the cold dessert to match my cold heart makes me happy but it doesn't always hit the spot though. Usually I crave this when I'm stressed out or upset or I just want a hug and someone to tell me it'll be okay which is ironic seeing as the cold can make you feel more isolated. Frozen yogurt also hits the spot better than ice cream at times.
In college, I needed all these food quite a bit and lucky for me we had Moo Cow- a froyo shop and a bakery that made the most wonderful pastries. Pretty sure that's partly what got me through college.
